Weekly Coping Skills Group for Adolescents and Teens


-  Increase Mindfulness

-  Decrease Impulsivity

-  Regulate Emotions

-  Tolerate Stressful Events

    ~minimizing negative consequences

    ~improving self awareness and confidence 

Note:  There are many benefits of an age specific skills group. Group members share common challenges at home, school, social circles, etc. Group members hold each other accountable for skills practice in a group setting.  Most importantly, group members offer support and encouragement in a safe, structured environment.

- Feel guilt or shame (but unable or unwilling to discuss in a productive manner)
