Laurie Dean-Amir, LMSW

Laurie Dean-Amir, LMSW, ACSW is a Licensed Masters Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist, who has been a practicing clinician over the past 30 years. Laurie earned her master's degree from University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration.

Laurie's experience and skills are derived from working with multiple age groups and diverse populations in a variety of diagnostic areas. She identifies herself as a generalist, who has the ability to work with people across the lifespan and with broad clinical issues.

Drawing from an extensive background in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of many patients, Laurie has developed a treatment style designed to help individuals, families, and couples become self-sufficient in managing their own mental health needs. She works with both long and short term approaches.  In addition to her work in the clinical setting, Laurie has extensive experience working in school environments and working with autistic spectrum students and their families.
